The AprilAire 500 Whole-House, Small Bypass Evaporative Humidifier is ideal for smaller homes and designed to deliver optimal humidity control for tightly constructed homes up to 3,600 square feet. With the ability to provide 12 gallons of humidification per day, this unit ensures rapid and balanced humidity, crucial for reducing respiratory infections, allergies, and asthma symptoms by minimizing bacteria, viruses, fungi, and dust mites throughout the entire home. The humidifier works by passing hot, dry air from the furnace over the interior water panel to add moisture before returning the humidified air into the home using the existing blower fan in the HVAC system. The unit is easily maintained with a simple annual change of the AprilAire 10 Water Panel. The humidifier includes an automatic control which is duct compatible and adjusts for both outdoor temperature and relative humidity. The reversible design allows the unit to be easily adjusted whether the return is on the left or the right.
