- Not used for VC or KB series water heaters
- This kit fills the hole left after relocating the working controller
- The working MC-91 controller assembly lacks an outer trim piece (bezel) and so requires that the bezel that comes with the kit be snapped on to make it look like a complete unit
If an indoor water heater (with the MC-91 integrated in the front cover) is placed in an inaccessible location, like an attic or crawl space, the installer could use this kit to remove the MC91 from the front panel and relocate it to a remote location.
