Reduced Pressure Backflow Detector, 2 in, Groove, 304/304L Stainless Steel

This 2 in Ames Deringer™ 50 reduced pressure detector type II assembly is designed to prevent hazardous contaminants and non-health hazard pollutants from entering the potable water supply system caused by back pressure and back siphonage conditions. Deringer 50 features integral Eccentric-Seal™ butterfly shut-off valves for a short lay length, integrated tamper switches and True-Seal™ and Dual-Action™ checks for high performance at low and high-flow rates. This valve comes with kit to adapt valve from 2 in to 2-1/2 in valve. The kit includes two 2-1/2 in grooved couplings and two 2 in NPT x 2-1/2 in groove adapters. End connections are union-type stainless steel 2 in female NPT threads for ease of installation. The Type II bypass is used to monitor unauthorized water usage, is primarily required on fire sprinkler systems, comes with a gpm meter. Maximum working pressure is 175 psi (12 bar).
