- Heavy hex nut: ASTM F 594, group 2, (Type 316 stainless steel), condition CW with galling resistant coating
Designed for 1-1/2 to 12 in/40 to 300mm piping systems, Style 489 features a heavy stainless steel housing for pressures up to 600psi/4135kPa on stainless steel pipe only. Style 489 will greatly reduce linear or angular movement and is useful for valve connections and other points where rigidity is required. The coupling is provided with stainless steel bolts and nuts.
